Brandon Ishisaka Guadan Sensei
I am honored to be representing this dojo as its Chief Instructor. It has been a life long journey of training in Aikido for nearly 30 years. Through those years I have learned that Aikido is not only about techniques but about making the individual a better person and thus our community stronger. It is with the influence of my Sensei’s (teachers) that I have learned not only great Aikido techniques as well as how to live the principles of peace, love, and harmony in ones life.
Being the grandson of the founder (Harry K. Ishisaka) has provided me with a unique perspective of Aikido. I am blessed to have been raised by the dojo and its community. I feel like this dojo and the Aikido community is my extended family. It gives me great pride to be a part of our dojo that has been teaching Aikido and serving our community for nearly 50 years. I hope to continue this and share with the next generation AI (love), KI (spirit), DO (the way).
At our dojo, you will find experienced instructors with years of Aikido training, and generations of families training in Aikido and contributing to our amazing community. My grandfather being from Hawaii believed in what he called the “Aloha Spirit” and being one big ohana (family). Bring your family to visit and experience the inviting and welcoming Aloha Spirit of Orange County Aiki Kai.
With Aloha,
Brandon Ishisaka Guadan Sensei
